Anya Mashaney
Anya (Taschereau) Mashaney, born in Southern California, considers herself an Oklahoman after moving to Edmond when her family was relocated from Edwards Air Force Base to Tinker Air Force Base when she was eight years old. Her family settled in Northeast Edmond. A graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma, Anya earned her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a focus on Human Services. While in college, Anya began her real estate career as an administrative assistant at a local independent boutique brokerage. She soon learned that while real estate had never been on her radar, it was a perfect fit for her personality and, surprisingly, went hand-in-hand with her education. Anya soon obtained her real estate license and used her experience from advertising listings, handling contracts, and coordinating closings to bring her knowledge and customer service mentality to her clients. Anya then obtained her broker's license at age 25 - a choice that allowed her to best serve other agents on her team and further demonstrate her willingness to learn, grow, and achieve.
Anya has served on both the local and state Professional Standards committees, is a graduate of OKCMAR & OAR’s leadership academies, started and served as Chair for OKCMAR's Young Professionals Network, RISE OKC, among many other contributions to her state and local associations. She was honored by the National Association of Realtors as one of 2019’s 30 Under 30. She has served on the Diversity Committee for the National Association of Realtors and attended national legislative session & conferences in Washington D.C. and San Francisco. She currently serves on the Oklahoma Association of Realtors' Board of Directors and Professional Standards, and Communications committees. Anya holds the At Home With Diversity (AHWD) and the Commitment 2 Excellence (C2EX) designations. Anya is also a Major Investor of RPAC - the Realtors® Political Action Committee, lobbying to fight for the Realtor® industry, private property rights, and home ownership benefits.
Anya is a member of and serves on the board for Rotary International’s Midtown Club. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute - Oklahoma City Chapter. She also fundraises and advocates for Sisu Youth Services, a nonprofit providing shelter and resources to homeless and at-risk youth ages 15-24 in the OKC Metro.
Anya loves living in Oklahoma City! She enjoys visiting local restaurants, bars, galleries, music venues, and shopping. She currently resides in Northwest Central OKC with her husband John, their daughter, and two dogs.
